Deputy Minister of Justice Prof. Nikolay Prodanov today handed the keys to four cars, which will be used for the needs of the Directorate General of Execution of Penalties.

The funds for the new cars are provided by the State Enterprise "Prison Fund" under the provisions of the Penalty Execution and Detention Act. The purchase of the cars was done in accordance with the Public Procurement Act.

During the key award ceremony, Prof. Prodanov said that the Ministry of Justice, DGIN and DPFZD will continue to work actively to improve the conditions in prisons and detention facilities as a prerequisite for the humane treatment of offenders. "At the same time, we will actively work to improve the conditions under which the security guard works," the Deputy Minister said.
